Jen is a dedicated nurse with nearly 20 years of experience in nursing, healthcare, and education. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) and a Master’s in Education (MEd) with a focus on adult education and self-reflection, she has developed a deep understanding of the body-mind connection. Her personal journey led her to discover yoga as a powerful tool for healing and transformation.
Jen’s exploration of yoga began when she recognized its potential to strengthen the connection between body and mind. A lifelong learner, she has completed Yoga Teacher Training in multiple modalities and continues to expand her knowledge, drawing inspiration from those she works with.
Her shift toward yoga was driven by her own experiences. Balancing a corporate healthcare career, motherhood, and personal growth left her feeling disconnected. By the age of 32, after two pregnancies, surgical births, and surgical menopause due to endometriosis, Jen faced burnout, identity loss, and stress. Recognizing the need for self-care, she turned to yoga—particularly Yin Yoga—as a means to release tension, restore balance, and reconnect with her true self.
Since 2018, Jen has combined her nursing expertise, yoga practice, education, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to create a holistic approach to healing. She developed a Yin Yoga Therapy program that integrates the body-mind-spirit connection with talk therapy, helping others heal and grow. Jen is honored to support others on their journey toward balance and well-being.
